George Henry Decker (1902-1980) was born in Catskill, New York. He earned a B.S. degree from Lafayette College in 1924 and commissioned in the infantry in the same year. In 1937 he graduated from Command and General Staff School. He was deputy chief of the Third Army and then the Sixth Army between 1942 and 1943. He made brigadier general in August 1944 and major general in June 1945, while chief of staff of Sixth Army. His post-war assignments included commander of VI Corps, from 1955 to 1956. ...

Jean E. Engler was a United States (U.S.) Army officer from 1933-1969. He was a United States Military Academy (USMA) graduate and rose through the ranks to promotion to brigadier general in 1956 and was the deputy commanding general (CG) for the United States Army, Vietnam, (USARV) in 1966.
